Pleo begins with a dinosaur just emerging from the egg and evolves and adopts a personality according to how we interact with it. When switched on for the first time begins his life as a baby and soon begins to learn to walk and investigate what surrounds him with his sensors.

The advanced internal system incorporates many light sensors, thermal cameras, sound and touch sensors scattered throughout the body. In this way, Pleo can detect the environment and move completely independently as a real pet.
